�How Mind Machines work
The Simple Explanation:
At Enlightened Enterprises, our primary
business is disseminating information on the safe use of Light and Sound (L/S)
Technologies. L/S machines, commonly known as Mind Machines, put separate
tones in each ear. If these tones are slightly different from each other, a
third tone is created from the them within the mind. The mind will follow this
third frequency and become entrained to it. This third frequency, an offset
frequency creates patterns of energy in the mind and body. The correct
patterns can produce various natural and altered states of consciousness.
The books that we sell are specifically
intended to show you how to not only create these natural and altered states
of consciousness, but also how to do it safely. Indeed, Light and sound
technology is a tool. Just like any other tool, it can be used inappropriately
and produce harm. One of our goals is to not only to show people how to
produce various states of consciousness but to keep them safe when using these
devices.
We disseminate our information through
several channels: The Awakening Mind 1 manual contains full technical
specifications on producing various mind states as well as warnings about what
not to do. The Kundalini and the Basics of the Spiritual Path monograph is a
discussion of the basics of the enlightenment experience.
If you are new to this technology and have
questions about whether it works or not, I assure you that it does. I have
personally led people to experience enlightenment using only the audio
portion. I don't however ask anyone to take my word for it. I have included on
this site a number of links to various other sites where people discuss their
experiences using Mind Machines. If you decide that this is a technology you
want to use, I strongly recommend you use the Awakening Mind 1 manual to guide
you in your inner explorations and to help keep you safe while doing so.

�How Mind Machines work
The
Technical Explanation:
Preliminary Mind State Information:
Our minds use cetain electrical brainwave frequencies to
determine how awake or asleep we feel. Generally those frequencies are:
beta - wide awake brain waves of
14 + cycles per second
alpha - peaceful brain waves of
8 to 14 cycles per second
theta - dreamy brainwaves of 4
to 8 cycles per second
delta - sleep brainwaves of 0
to 4 cycles per second

Your
mind also uses other brain waves patterns as window frequencies which we wont
touch on here, but do go into in some depth in the Awakening Mind 1 manual.
Using the following waves you can
recreat those patterns and many others in your brainwaves using mind machines.
Mind Machines and sounds in general such as music work to do this because the
ears translate sound waves into brain waves within your mind...hence some
sorts of music will thrill you and others put you to sleep...others make you
joyful and others anger you...The following figures will explain the basics of
this to you in a technical manner:
In nature, our surrounding environment, the world
is filled with various waveforms, many of which are sound waves. If you
captured one of those waves and looked at it upclose, it might look like
this...a sine wave:
Now if that wave were vibrating at precisely 100
times per second (100 hz) and you looked at 1 second of it; it would look just
like this:
Suppose for our example, there was another wave
form in the near vicinity and lets say it was vibrating at almost the same
frequency, but just a little off. If it were vibrating at 105 times per
second, it would look like this:
Those two waves, when they came in contact with
each other, would mix and interfere with each other to produce an interference
pattern that looks like the following wave form (also known as a monaural
beat):
�And your mind is fully capable of entraining to
that wave form in your environment, and you would find yourself fighting sleep!

Mind machines work very similar to what happens in
nature...with just a little change. If you were listening to a mind machine
with ear phones on and say you put the following wave in your left ear.
And let say you were listening to the following
sound in your right ear:
Those two wave forms would combine inside your
mind to create the following interference wave form (binaural beat) which your mind would entrain to and
put you in a near sleep state:
This waveform would entrain you to a peaceful
state of calm alertness:
And if you entrained to this waveform, you would
find yourself going into a light trance state:
And finally for now, this waveform would entrain
you to a very deep trance state:
